Experience the art of dance through participation and performance
IGNITE!
IGNITE! was a cross-generation mixed ability dance project for participants aged 16yrs-65yrs who lived or worked in Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire. The main aim for the project was to provide the opportunity for people of all ages and abilities to work along-side each other creatively whilst gaining respect, knowledge, and understanding of each other through the means of dance.
Participants took part in dance workshops which culminated in creating a dance piece along-side professional dancers from FRONTLINEdance, which was performed free of charge at Stoke-on-Trent College’s Burslem Campus on August 30th 2002.
The project was funded by the Robbie Williams’ Give it Sum! Fund and supported by The Stoke-on-Trent College and the Prince’s Trust Millennium Volunteers.
